How to Set a Live GIF Wallpaper on Your iPhone
Animate Your Lock Screen with Your Favorite GIFs
Steps for Creating a Live GIF Wallpaper:
While you cannot directly set a GIF as a lock screen wallpaper and have it animate, iOS provides a workaround using Live Photos. Here's how:
- Find or create a GIF you want to use as wallpaper.
- Save the GIF to your iPhone's Photos app.
- Go to "Settings" > "Wallpaper" > "Choose a New Wallpaper."
- Select "Live Photos" and choose the GIF you saved.
- Set the wallpaper as your "Lock Screen."
Setting Live Wallpaper from Photos App:
Alternatively, you can set a Live Wallpaper from the Photos app:
- Open the Photos app and select the Live Photo you want to use.
- Tap the "Share" button and choose "Set as Wallpaper."
- Select "Set as Lock Screen" or "Set as Lock Screen & Home Screen."
Note:
While the GIF will appear as a Live Photo on the lock screen, it won't animate like it normally would. However, it will add a touch of personality and interactivity to your iPhone.
