Congress Designates First Thursday in May as National Day of Prayer
2024 Theme and Proclamation Announced
In accordance with Public Law 100-307, the Congress has designated the first Thursday in May as the National Day of Prayer. For 2024, the National Day of Prayer will be observed on May 1st.
As part of the observance, the NDP Task Force President, Kathy Branzell, has composed a national prayer entitled "Lift Up the Word - Light Up the World." The prayer emphasizes the power of prayer to strengthen spirits and promote unity.
