MAVS TAKE 3-0 SERIES LEAD WITH GAME 3 WIN OVER WOLVES
Doncic, Irving combine for 63 as Mavericks move to brink of Western Conference Finals berth
5 Takeaways from Dallas' Clutch Masterpiece in Game 3
The Dallas Mavericks are one win away from the NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday.
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving led the way for the Mavericks, combining for 63 points. Doncic finished with a game-high 33 points, while Irving added 30. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 31 points, but it was not enough to prevent the Mavericks from taking a 3-0 series lead.
The Mavericks were in control for much of the game, but the Timberwolves made a late run in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to four points. However, the Mavericks were able to hold on for the win, thanks in part to some clutch shooting from Doncic and Irving.
The Mavericks will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night. The Timberwolves will need to win their first game of the series if they want to force a Game 5.
